In 2018, ARID began shipping PERMEATOR units to Mexico to meet the recently promulgated vapor recovery and containment standards within PROY-NOM-004-ASEA-2017. These standards include rigorous metrics for vapor collection efficiency at the fuel nozzle/vehicle interface as well as limits on storage tank pressure and associated fugitive and vent emissions from the storage tanks themselves. The combination of a Stage II “front-end” vapor recovery system with an ARID Permeator “back-end” vapor containment system yields state-of-the-art fuel station performance for Mexican petroleum marketers. In addition, to meeting NOM environmental regulation standards, Mexican fuel retailers are rewarded with fuel savings ranging from 1 to 4 liters of fuel saved per 1,000 liters of fuel dispensed.
