COSTCO
Costco, Pembroke Pines, Florida 2007
Tim Hurlocker
Costco

''I am the Director of Gasoline Operations for Costco Wholesale. We have been involved in the development of gas station membrane processors
for many years and have a number of them installed around the country.

A couple years ago we installed an ARID PERMEATOR membrane processor in Lantana, Florida, working in conjunction with the State of Florida, Palm Beach County, and the federal EPA. Since that successful test, we’ve installed PERMEATORs at several other locations around the country, including Florida, Texas, Washington and Nevada. We just completed the installation of ten PERMEATORs in Texas to comply with their ORVR-compatibility mandate. Each of these states has officially approved the PERMEATOR for use in meeting air pollution control requirements.

Our experience has shown conclusively that the ARID PERMEATOR is far more reliable than competitive alternatives. We believe the best vapor recovery system currently available is a Stage II vacuum assist system with an ARID PERMEATOR.''

WAWA

''I have been involved with gasoline refueling operations for about 20 years. To meet regulatory requirements, I have always been forced to purchase products with a negative net present value. In other words, we pay to meet the regulatory requirement, but we receive no financial reward.

The PERMEATOR is the first product I have purchased that actually helps the environment while at the same time generating significant fuel savings. Thus, we can earn money - through product savings, while at the same time being environmentally responsible.

By installing and operating PERMEATORS at multiple Wawa refueling sites for more than one year, I have verified the on-going fuel savings, and I have also been impressed with the low maintenance, quiet and consistent system operation, and the PERMEATOR's ability to remotely measure and record fuel savings as well as relative vapor tightness of a given station. For example, PERMEATOR can identify leaky p/v valves, loose dry-break fittings, and other anomalies which are sources of vapor leakage and can indicate poor performance of a dispenser based vacuum pump. In addition, the PERMEATOR has the capacity to handle the dramatic pressure spikes caused during tanker drops. The PERMEATOR has lived up to my expectations.''

Grass Valley Chevron - Grass Valley, California
Mr. Rick Shields
Owner: Grass Valley Chevron, Grass Valley, California

"The PERMEATOR had a nice, clean installation. Being a station owner, I can verify evaporative savings of 0.3% of throughput that in my case results in saving 1,000 gallons per month in evaporative losses. The unit has been 100% maintenance free for one year."
Mr. Descoe Chentnik
Operations Manager, Grass Valley Chevron

"After the installation of the pressure/vacuum caps and the PERMEATOR, the complaints from the neighbors regarding gasoline smell, especially during tanker drops, completely stopped. The general public does not have any idea about gasoline evaporation - especially the large degree of evaporation."
Mr. Marshall Lane
Maintenance Technician, Grass Valley Chevron

"Before the installation of the PERMEATOR, I was initially concerned - even skeptical since it was new - but now since it has been running smoothly for a year, I am impressed and very happy with it. It operates so quietly; I do not even know it is running unless I am standing right next to the unit."
